Spring Court

In 1936 Theodore George Grimmeisen created the brand Spring Court, after moving to Paris in 1870 and setting up his own business discovering the properties of latex. In 1930 his grand-son invented a perfectly waterproof boot which was the inspiration behind the company Spring Court. With a passion for Tennis George used the boot his grand-son had made to help him create a revolutionary shoe which was ventilated and made from cotton, canvas and vulcanized rubber.

The shoe was quickly adopted by many Tennis players who used it to play Tennis on the clay courts. Unfortunately, Grimmeisen George died at the age of 46, however, the company was continuously developed by his brother until 1980. Grimmeisen Theodore, son of George, then became president and still is to this date.
